What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They can remember settings, keep you signed in, or track what you do across websites.
The cookies on this website
| Type | Do we use it? | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | No | The website does not need cookies to work. |
| Analytics | No cookies | We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not identify you: it only tells us how many people visit and which pages they read. |
| Advertising | Never | We don’t show adverts or allow advertising trackers. |
| Third-party services | Only when you use them | Our podcast opens on Spotify’s own website, and our forms are delivered by a form service when you press send. Those services may set their own cookies on their own sites; their cookie policies apply. |
Our fonts are stored on our own website, so loading a page does not share your details with a font provider.
The website does not use local storage or any similar technology either: nothing is saved on your device.
Like any website host, ours processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and keep the site secure. This does not use cookies.
Storybooks and the Listen button
Reading our storybooks stores nothing on your device. The Listen button uses the voice built into your phone or computer. In some browsers, such as Chrome, that voice is provided online by the browser’s maker, so the story’s words are sent to them to be read aloud. Nothing about you or your child is added.
Children
We never use cookies or any other technology to profile children or show them adverts.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. In Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, look under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking cookies won’t stop this website working.
Changes
If we ever add cookies, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
